Biography

Eunis Pryce was born in Wild Cane District, near Borobridge, Saint Ann, Jamaica on 20 April 1909. Reportedly, her father died in 1960s at age of 105. She became a Christian at the age of 15.

During her early life, she used to go out to the fields with her husband, then a farmer, to cook lunch for everyone, using products from the family farm. Pryce gave birth to six children, four girls and two boys, but two of the girls have predeceased her. She also had three stepchildren.

Her husband died around 2000, aged 99. In 2009, she had one living sibling, aged 92 at the time. She was independent until the age of 105, when she fell and got injured. At the age of 108, it was reported how she was still able to see well enough to read without glasses. At the time, she was still reading the Bible and newspaper.

Pryce died in Borobridge, Saint Ann, Jamaica, on 20 February 2021, at the age of 111 years, 306 days. At time of her death, she had four living children, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
